Director, Forecasting & Capital Monitoring

SGI is currently seeking a skilled and technically savvy Director, Forecasting and Capital Monitoring to join our Actuarial team in Regina, SK. We will also consider candidates in Saskatoon, SK and Winnipeg, MB.

 

This individual will be responsible for managing the underwriting budgeting and capital monitoring process for SGI (includes Saskatchewan Auto Fund) and its regional operations to optimize corporate decision making and comply with financial reporting and regulatory reporting requirements. This individual will oversee and perform complex analyses of claims, premium and actuarial liabilities, including variances from expectations, and performs financial modeling and other actuarial analyses.

 

Requirements

Candidates must bring the education and experience to succeed in this unique opportunity — after all, we’re counting on you.  We are looking for candidates who have:

  • A four-year degree from an accredited post-secondary education institution in a relevant field of study such as Mathematics and Applied Science.
  • Candidates should have at least 6 years in an actuarial role in the P&C field as well as 4 years of leadership experience.
  • A Fellowship of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) or Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) working towards FCAS
  • Alternative combinations of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
