CIA contract actuary opportunities: FCIA education content development

The Canadian Institute of Actuaries (CIA) is transforming its education system and is looking for contract actuaries who hold the FCIA designation to develop our FCIA module content for all tracks, based on the module syllabuses. Working with external content providers, volunteers and Head Office staff, the incumbent will source, assemble and write content for one or two FCIA modules, depending on contractual preferences, in readiness for the instructional design phase. Therefore, an interest in creating educational materials for qualifying actuaries is a must! Contract duration will be approximately three (3) to six (6) months.

The FCIA-track modules reflect the actual work environment with scenarios and will help candidates prepare for the FCIA exams. The modules will be delivered through an online learning management system and will comprise a variety of content formats and assessments.

The syllabuses are available for more information.

Interested applicants should apply to education@cia-ica.ca by March 6, 2023.
