Are you passionate about the education and qualification of actuarial professionals in Canada and have a desire to play a strategic role as we innovate for the future? The Canadian Institute of Actuaries is looking for a bilingual FCIA with at least five years’ experience in program management to become our Actuary, Education.

You’ll serve as the in-house professional actuarial resource for the Education and International Affairs department and will be responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of the CIA education syllabuses as well as quality assurance for the CIA programs and products we offer related to the education and qualification of new ACIAs and FCIAs.

Bilingualism in English and French is essential as you liaise with future actuaries, universities and CIA members from across the country.

You understand the qualification systems of other actuarial organizations, with the aim of evaluating the qualifications of international candidates seeking CIA membership and for maintaining and enhancing mutual recognition agreements. This position reports to the Director, Education and International Affairs and supports associated councils and committees of the CIA.
